Day-24-Today we closed out the garage project. The contractor came over and we wrote him a check. The cost was a little more than I expected because the electrical work we wanted done wasn't included in the bid. I had forgotten that so we ended up with about 12% more than the contract. The result we achieved was very good. Not only did the garage get refurbished, strengthened and painted, it also got refilled with a lot less stuff that when we started. That is a good thing. Presumably the rest of the project will go like that. The stuff in the foreground is temporarily stored there staging for the big project.

It is still going to be a couple weeks before we start. We finalized the cabinet design yesterday and also the scope of the project. Our contractor is going to have the final proposal finished by next Friday. Looks like the last week in February to get started. He has several big projects he wants to get closed out before starting on ours.
