We returned to the house this evening after a 12 day sojourn that included visits with Richard's and Robert's families. I got to thinking about the alternative means of transportation which would be flying. Flying during the Thanksgiving holiday is crazy. I can't even imaging going to the airport and then surviving the crowds. Although it takes some time to do all the driving, I feel much better off for the effort. Yeah, it takes more time, but I am less frazzled. We ended up the year with about 24,000 miles of driving. That is about the circumference of the earth. We have one more trip this year, Alpharetta for Christmas.
