After the excitement of the mass ascension, we packed the car. We stopped for church on the way out of town then headed for Alamagordo and White Sands National Monument. We were there last year, and Ginny wanted to stage a triumphant return with the objective of sledding down the dunes. That is exactly what she did. She had a great time.
