We had planned to visit Chaco Canyon this morning but the rain did us in. The roads become impassable when it rains. So we wandered on down to Albuquerque where we planned to spend the next three days. We ended up spending the afternoon at the Albuquerque Museum. They had a bunch of art. Much of that was pretty crappy in my estimation. They had an exhibit on Route 66 which passed through Albuquerque. That was interesting.

They also had an exhibit about things going on in Albuquerque. It featured people and organizations which were in Albuquerque. For example, the first mass produced microcomputer, the Altain 8800, was invented in Albuquerque. Todays photo is of an exhibit dedicated to Sid Gutierrez. We have known Sid for quite a while. His son David and our son Robert were scouts together. We have had the good fortune to visit with him in Albuquerque. He moved there after retiring from the astronaut program.
