We went through Telluride today on our photo course. This is a nice small village adjacent to a gigantic ski area. It is very popular. Real estate prices are astronomical. We did a bunch of nature and landscape photography. We rode the gondola up one of the ski hills and took some pictures from there. At the top of the lift is this sign. You might wonder why they would have such a sign. The reason is that they use explosives to trigger avalanches when they might become threatening. They even use artillery when necessary. I have never seen this done but I have to imagine that an explosion followed by an avalanche is quite a sight to see. On the bucket list with a low probability of success.

I think I might take a chance with the avalanche.
Must have a better survival rate than picking up live bombs.
