As I work more with these NIK filters in Photoshop I am finding that my trusty computer has some shortcomings. I would like to address these shortcomings. I could get a new computer, but the thought of getting it online and working as well as what I currently have is beyond my desire to upgrade. There was one thing that I could do, however. I could add some more RAM. This device will take up to 8 Gigs. So I went to the store and plunked down $35 for a 4 Gig stick and installed it. That brought it from 6 Gig to 8 Gig. It did make a difference. I can run both Lightroom and Photoshop at the same time without bogging down the machine and writing to that swap file. That was a small step forward, and it is the only easy step I can take to get things running faster. I was happy with the result. The peasants rejoiced and peace returned to the realm.
