Even though we didn't get to sleep until 2am (thank you Delta Airlines), we were up and about and headed out about 9:30. Ginny had a whole slew of things n the list to see, and we saw them all. It was a long day. The immigration Museum was first on the list, and all I can say is, "ho hum." I found it not so interesting and I took some exceptions to the film they showed. After that we sampled a beer at the Garrison Brewery (exzim, there is good beer in Canada!) Then we went on a culinary walking tour which lasted about 3 hours. The food samplings were very nice and the guide was informative and entertaining. Next stop was the Alexander Keith Brewery for a tour. It turned out to be a lot of fun. The ladies who were guides were excellent singers and story tellers and it was a hoot. Oh yeah, we sampled a bunch of beer as well. Finally, we went to the Maritime Museum and arrived just as they were starting the free admission. That worked for us. We spent a couple hours there ending up with a nice interpretive talk about pirates. Did you know that the number one thing pirates were looking for when they took over a ship was food? Today's photo is of a class 1 fresnel lens that was recovered from a lighthouse here in the Halifax harbor. These things are very big. It is probably over six feet tall. Very cool. With all that we started heading back to the hotel, stopping to pick up some food. When we were back in the room we found ourselves in the arms of Morpheus at a very early hour.
