The real reason for our trip to Jacksonville was a baby shower for Richard and Christiane. They are expecting twins in late October. Christiane's parents arranged a very nice afternoon with all her relatives and friends in the area. As with any Philippino gathering, the food was excellent and plentiful. Christiane's sister Hazel organized a few games for the group and a good time was had by all. They got many nice presents. It turned out that they were able to pack them all into carry on baggage (Richard and Christiane don't ever check bags) which was quite an accomplishment. Since most of the gifts were clothing, blankets and the like, they were able to smash it all in. It is amazing what a couple engineers can accomplish when they put their minds to it.
