We started the day out with a river rafting trip. Don't we look sharp in our dry suits?? The Nenana river was at 38 degrees F. You don't want to get wet in those conditions. For those of you unfamiliar with a dry suit, it is water proof with latex wrist and neck bands which keep the water out and keep you dry and warm. We were the only two on the trip. The boat is capable of taking 12 or so. We had a nice float with some very splashy rapids for about 11 miles. Great fun.

Right after lunch (we split a Subway Foot Long, there is a Subway in Denali!) we headed to the train station and caught the Alaska Railroad train to Fairbanks, That is about a 4 hour trip. Riding on trains (inside passenger cars, Dave) is a lot of fun. As we were rolling along we were thinking about all the stuff we have done in Alaska during the last month. We really did a lot of stuff. They days were just packed. Anyway, we decided that there wasn't a single thing we did that we wished we hadn't done. That's a pretty good record. We have a couple days in Fairbanks then it is off on a road trip above the Arctic Circle to Prudhoe Bay.
