Ginny has a garden. She really likes to work in it. It isn't very big but it does keep her off the street. If you were to look at it, you would wonder how she determined to lay the thing out. Being a real by golly scientist (she has a PhD in physical chemistry from MIT) she apparently let her knowledge of entropy guide her decisions. Random is a good adjective. So is Interesting. Also, "oh my, how nice." or perhaps, "this is different." or maybe even, "Somebody has an imagination." All that aside, this was the day where she could harvest her first tomato. Turns out there were two of them, so she brought them inside and washed them off. We both enjoyed a tiny little tomato that tasted real good. We have been getting tons of radishes out of the garden. She has developed a great recipe for radish top soup which I really like. We hope the garden is hearty. We are going to be gone for most of the summer, so it will be interesting to see what survives. Last year the sweet potatoes took over the place.
