Ginny takes lots of photos of the junk she is trying to sell on ebay. It is good practice for her. She has found that in the shadows on the back patio it is possible to get a nice, even, diffuse light. If you walk around inside your house and think about it a little bit, you will find that most locations are a mix of light and therefore a challenge to photograph. One option is to blast with flash, but unless you set up some diffusers or light boxes, you get a pretty poor result with a simple on-camera flash. Hence, the back patio. For those of you up north, this might have to wait for the spring thaw.
