I walk back and forth to my scanner set up many times during the day. Each time I cast my eyes upon one of my favorite relics, my first digital camera. It is a Ricoh RDC-300. I had a hell of a good time with it. It has a massive 640 X 480 pixel sensor (0.3 megapixels). That is just barely suitable for the screen. I will have to admit I was a real babe in the woods in digital photography. I didn't understand white balance and was often baffled by the goofy colors I got. It was a low ISO and had long shutter speeds. Lots of limitations but what a great deal of fun. I took this photo with Ginny's new 18 megapixel Canon T5i. What a difference. Even though the new camera takes very high quality pictures, it is always great to sit back and think about the novelty and enjoyment I got with the old Ricoh. Life is good.
