I am quite a lucky person. Unlike many aviation photographers, I get to fly and take pictures in flight. This one is really interesting. Our hangar mate Rodney acquired an RV7A which was of excellent build quality. Bloke saw this as a clean slate upon which to make modifications. They have done A LOT of improvements on this airplane. One of those was addition of a smoke system. After weeks of effort it was ready for an FCF (functional check flight) very late in the day. So we did that flight just at sunset. This photo is Rodney testing the new smoke system. It worked very well. The three of us have a lot of fun with all the aspects of aviation. Afterward, of course, we opened the bar and watched movies that Rodney took in flight with his new GoPro. You can see it mounted about half way out on the right wing. John, this camera works very well. Rodney used the suction mount. I don't know if you have acquired yours yet.

Not yet John, it is still on my "Toy" list, getting close to the top.
Magnificent shot.
