Today was a travel day. We left Egem this morning and ended up in Amsterdam where we will be for several days. It was a Monday afternoon and there were a lot of tourists around. I would imagine in the summer time the crowds would be staggering. We walked around a little bit in search of a grocery store and where we will depart on our tour in the morning. One thing that I found interesting was the large number of bicycles. Bikes and motor scooters are very popular as transportation. There are lots of bike parking areas around the central station where we are staying. This is a photo of a triple deck bike parking area. We are staying at the Ibis Hotel you can see in the background. We ended the day back at the hotel enjoying a bottle of wine.
