Early this morning we set out on our great road trip to visit the kids. Our first leg is to Alpharetta where Robert and Laura live. This is 820 miles and we have done it a bunch of times. It is twelve hours of driving and about a cumulative two hours of rest and fuel stops. Our favorite places to stop are the welcome centers the states provide. They have nice restrooms, comfortable surroundings and free coffee. The one in Mississippi is very nice. This is also where you can take a tour of the Stennis Space Center. This is where, among other things, NASA tess rocket engines. We have never taken the tour, but that is on the list for a future visit. We ended up arriving at Robert and Laura's house about 10:30. I drove all the way. That is a long sit. We are going to head up to the Philadelphia area early Monday morning so another long sit is looming in the near future.
