We had a very interesting day today. We headed out south of Quito with a driver and a guide. About four hour's drive took us to Zumbahua where there is a big market. It was interesting to see all the agricultural stuff available. It was also very interesting to see how the indigineous people dressed, especially the ladies. Everywhere it was just like a photo from National Geographic. I will post some in our album from this trip. We then headed out for another quarter hour to see the beautiful lake in the caldera of the Quilatoa volcano. From there we had another long drive backtracking toward Quito to our final destination, Hosteria La Cienega. This was a hacienda that was built in the middle 1600's for some rich Spanish guy. Our room was spacious but definitely spartan. When we got there, I saw the candles and decided to have a project shooting Ginny. Here she is working on her post cards. I kinda like this one.
