When we got back to the camp ground this afternoon they were making slugs. This was a new one on me. How it works is you take a piece of biscuit dough and wrap it around a dowel of about one inch diameter. You toast it in the fire and end up with a little cup that is filled with Bavarian cream custard, chocolate and whipped cream. Here Ginny is starting to roast her slug. When finished and properly filled it was delicious. As good as a s'more, but more time consuming to make. Bottom line, however, either one is a real camp fire treat.
