Today we took the motorhome to the coast and got ourselves installed in a jiffy. We ended up with a nice campsite, which is good because we are going to be here for three months. It was rainy, so we didn't waste too much time getting the electrical and water hooked up. The first thing we do inside is put all our stuff away so that it seems more like a home and less like a motel room. Anyway, as we were working we noticed a raccoon at the next campsite that was busy scoring a huge dinner. The box you see here is full of dog food and the raccoon has already dragged is about ten feet. In just a few moments, he had the thing completely hidden in the woods and presumably had figured how to get it open. We have watched raccoons over the years on our camping trips. These critters are frightfully resourceful and can open just about anything. They are fun to watch, and throw rocks at. The boys might remember the raccoons that were invading the garbage cans at Martin Dies State Park. We threw rocks at them, but they just gave us a dirty look and then returned to pillaging.
