Every weekend I try to make a special meal of some sort. This weekend it was to be baby back ribs. I decided to try braising them for a change. So I seared them, braised them for a little over two hours then finished them on the grill to tighten up some added barbecue sauce. I also made southern beans and bacon and a cornbread concoction that used creamed corn for the liquid. It was all very good. I did learn one thing, a two pound bag of pinto beans makes a hell of a lot of beans and bacon. I will definitely cut back the recipe on that one in the future.
