I was on a mission from God today and spotted this bumper sticker which gave me a chuckle. Now, about what it means to be on a mission from God. For those of you who remember The Blues Brothers, Jake and Elwood were on a mission from God to get the mortgage money for the Penguin. We have adopted that phrase in the Cross household to mean that somebody is going somewhere and the purpose of the trip is classified. Like getting a present, for example. So when either of us want to go do something on our own, we just say we're on a mission from God. Works for us.
