I had managed to get to this evening without watching the olympics. I really can't stand to watch "the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat." Ice dancing, skiing, snowboarding, and all that stuff has no attraction to me. But, there was one thing worth watching. I love hockey, and the USA/Canada game this evening was first rate. I think you might be more accurate to call it the American versus the Canadian NHL all star game. It was exciting and the US won. Good hockey. Good time. eh?

You seem to have it, John.

So we now have a bat and a ball and some foot wear, let me guess, you have two teams scoring against each other.
Perfect description of a bat and ball game, they are played all over the world.
Different shape bats, different size and shape balls, different style of clothing.
But a rose by any other name......

Let's see, oh yes, you put on skates.

I see John, a piece of wood and a blunt ball.
So now we have the bat and ball, whats next ?.

Well, John, as a quick primer on hockey, lesson one is that it is played with a stick and a puck.

Larry, good play on words there. Broad casters.
Very apt.
Never having watched a game of hockey in my life, (or any other bat and ball game) I am neutral on the watchability of the subject.

Dave and Larry - it is all a matter of perspective. Rob-you continue to be one of my favorite sons, and remember that the perspective from Renton and St. Clair Shores might be a teensy bit different than yours (and mine).

It was an awesome game that was exciting until the last second. Great game especially because the heroes prevailed!

I have found a new respect for Mister Beedon's opinion.
I agree with him on this.
Couldn't be more boring unless the ultimate bores,
Rosie O'Donnell and Oprah, were the broad casters.

Boring.
