After mass on Sunday morning, we have coffee and donuts with our friends in the parish hall. Part of the usual prattle is about the coffee. The strength and quality varies from week to week. The standing joke between my friend Bill Burns and myself is that when a good brew is achieved, we attribute it to having put new grounds in the machine this week. Well, this morning I was making a cup and fired off the coffee maker. I returned to find a nice cup of hot water waiting for me. I got a chuckle out of that oversight, and immediately corrected the problem. I went over to Ginny to tell her about it. She got a chuckle out of it as well. She also mentioned that it was like the coffee we sometimes have after mass. Great minds.... I think we have had that joke going for about 30 years now.
You need to get Tim Horton's coffee John, I understand they are spreading civilisation to the US slowly. On a nother topic, we found Glenmorangie for $35.00 in Naples, as against $56 at home
