For those of us who live on the Gulf Coast, this website is on the bookmarks toolbar. The National Hurricane Center is our #1 source of information about tropical cyclones. The bozo weathermen on TV get their information from this web site so why listen to them when you can get it from the man? Well, for the last couple days it has looked like this. NO TROPICAL CYCLONES AT THIS TIME. That is quite unusual because the middle of September is the height of hurricane season. So I got to thinking about why this is the case. I went to google and searched on hurricanes and came upon jillions of articles about how global warming is responsible for the ever increasing hurricane activity. I know we all concede that global warming is "settled science" (bullsh&t!). The GW idiots out there have had to rethink their brain dead programs recently especially since we have been in a long term global cooling cycle. Now it has morphed into man made climate change. You know, let's blame human activity for whatever trend in climate we observe. Surely some UN study group can come up with initiatives that cost lots of money, pour cash into despots pockets and sticks the United States with the bill.

Now here is an interesting tidbit for you all. There exists something called chaos theory. It is not just some goofy thing dreamed up for Jurassic Park so that Jeff Goldblum had some good lines. It is real. The bottom line in that theory is that chaotic processes undergo very significant changes in output when extremely tiny changes in inputs (or perhaps even unmeasurable changes) are made. Now here is the interesting part. Although the theory was in the works for quite a while, it became practically evident through the studies of Edward Lorenz at MIT and published in 1963. Guess what process he was studying. It was WEATHER PREDICTION. You know, the basis for the settled science of global warming. So basically, the famous "hockey stick" graph predicting accelerating global warming in the very near future is CRAP. It is noteworthy that the National Hurricane Center uses many atmospheric models for its short term (5 day) storm prediction. If you carefully read their commentary, occasionally some of the models go off kilter and diverge from the others. As a matter of fact they call their storm prediction a "consensus" of the models they are using.

So, when that idiot Al Gore gets up onstage and starts talking about the settled science of global warming, you now have just enough information to stand up politely and say,"Sir, I am afraid that I have to conclude that you are full of hot air, excuse the pun."

If you're worried about cyclones, just erect a Cyclone fence.
