September 9, 2009

I decided I wanted to upload a profile photo to a couple web sites. I also decided that I would take a stab at doing a self portrait. To make it interesting, I also decided that I would do it indoors in the hallway (besides it was raining outside.) I set up the camera and hooked up the remote release and started shooting. After a few I decided that the pictures weren't really all that sharp. Being very quick minded, I eventually discovered that I had shut off the autofocus the other day when I was screwing around with live view. OK, I turned it on. I shot a bunch more photos. I tried some flash. I tried some with a hat on. I tried some sitting on the steps. I tried some while attempting to look cool (these last photos will never see the light of day, I assure you). Eventually I came to the conclusion that the photographer involved was only marginally competent and that the model needed to go back to the agency, submit his resignation and apply for a burger flipping job.

Get in the queue behind me, I am first in line for the burger flipping job.
At least they have been telling me that for the last few years.
