Dave and I hiked the Fort to Sea trail today at Fort Clatsop. The weather was good for hiking. A little sun would have been nice, but the temperature was just right. At the beginning of the trail there is a large area of woods that were blown down in a hurricane in December of 2007. It is really something to see. Here Dave snaps a photo, or rather three photos of an area where all the trees are blown over.

I'm surprised.

Actually, each time I hike that trail I get some sort of surprise. Usually not very big, though.

If you go down to the woods today, youre sure of a big surprise.
I heard that many times, is it true?.

It saddens me to see trees blown down en masse as here.
The hike was fun---thanks for suggesting it, John.
