I decided that I would like to take all my photos and projects with me to Oregon this summer. Unfortunately, I didn't have a hard disk that would accomodate all that stuff. So I went to Fry's (a favorite store of mine) to see what they had. I got these two 500 gig Seagate drives for $119 each. Jeez, this disk storage is getting cheap. I got two because I wanted to have a portable backup as well. The second drive is large enough to back up my lap top disks and photo disk as well.
I LOVE the pattern of white lights on those drives! A while back I got two Acomdata 1-terabyte drives from Amazon for about the price you paid for half the storage capacity. You're certainly right that storage is getting cheap.
