IMG_2937P.jpg

We went to the Imperial War Museum today. It was very interesting. We had a good time. After lunch Ginny went to the National Portrait Gallery and I stayed the rest of the afternoon at the IWM. I was busy shooting photos and started looking carefully at this FW-190 that was hanging from the ceiling. There was something just not right here and it finally hit me. SO I am asking you, what is wrong with this picture?

There is a small dent in the side, this was caused by my friend and workmate Les.
One cold winter evening, he was walking home from work and stopped off at the IWM to warm up a bit. He was supping from a can of lager (possibly a Heinekin) as he wandered around.
By the time he reached the Messerschmidt the can was empty and nostalgia was full.
He hurled the empty can at the Messerschmidt with a few unprintable words about the Luftwaffe to accompany it.
So he was arrested and charged with an offence of which the fine details escape me.
In court he was charged and a policeman read to the court his version of events.
Les interupted the policeman and asked him how the hell did he know what had happened as he was not there.
The policeman said he was there.
The magistrate said the policeman was there and told Les to keep quiet.
Les became very upset and told the magistrate that as a white policeman had arrested him, how the hell did the black policeman standing there know what had happened.
Les by now was quite upset and very vociferous.
The magistrate said I fine you £25 for contempt of court.
So Les then told the magistrate what to do with his fine.
The magistrate said £50.
More words from Les.
£75.
More words.
£100
When the fine reached £150, Les sat down and stopped talking.
PS Not many people knew that.
PPS My mum hates German planes as well.
PPS John, this story is absolutely true.

What's wrong is that it isn't being piloted by you, John.
