Louisiana

We visited the Louisiana State Capitol on October 15, 2013. This is a very unusual building because it has an office tower that is 34 stories high. The tallest US state capitol building. It was the brainchild of Huey P. Long, a Louisiana politician who perfected the art of corruption. It is art deco and very ornate. Quite a sight to see. It was also where Huey Long was shot and killed in 1935.
