Christopher Brooker was the art director of Vidal Sassoon for over twenty years and under his guidance came styles that became the Sassoon trade mark. His first successful hairstyle was the Isadora. (He put the long bob wig on a model, back to front. Then the FIRE-FLY was in its time a phenomena. He joined the company in 1960 as a junior stylist, became International Art Director in 1970.
Of all the wonderful hairstyles that came from Vidal Sassoon's in his time, his haircut THE BRUSH (circa 1973)will probably be his best remembered hairstyle, as fashion went that way, (up). Under his direction the Sassoon company went from strength to strength. He left the company in 1990

Hi Christopher, you were once my junior.Years later You came into the Design Shop in Richmond Surrey and recognised me. You were very sweet and told me about your place in France!. You then came back another day and left your phone no, with a colleague which she then lost! Now all these years later my ex sent the link of you on u tube! He remembers that when we were at Joh Cornel I told him I thought you had talent!, I thought my claim to fame was having Mary Berry as my client then. Must be you!

I'm not sure if Christopher was there in the seventies,as I understand when he first came to the US,he worked in San Francisco,he did work in Beverly Hills, when I was the manager, but not that much,I don't think he liked The environment of Rodeo Drive.

I assisted Christopher at the Beverly Hills Salon in the 70s, he would do maybe 3 or 4 clients a day mostly models, working on that seasons release, he was working on Round Graduation at the time..... he was quite focused and very quiet, loved my time with him, his father passed away and he went back to London and I left the salon before he came back, I talked to Elan, Vidal's son who told me Christopher had bought a bed & breakfast in the South of France, Christopher said I reminded him of his late friend Jay Sebring. I miss those days...
