I was out for a walk the other day when I spotted some freshly spray painted neon pink letters spelling the word "REPUBLICANS" directly in front of someone's house. As I continued my walk, I noticed that his neighbor appears to be a Democratic activist. I just thought I'd take some pictures that display my findings available to me from the sidewalk.
Personally I find this to be of very low class. Regardless of which party we may support, I feel there is no rational excuse for spray painting your "speech" on anyone's property whatsoever. As a principal of living, I do not hate anyone, regardless of what political views they may have. This can be clearly seen by visiting my myspace profile: Myspace.com/JPphotographer I have friends on both sides of the isle. In fact, my Liberal friends say I am too conservative, while my Conservative friends say I am too liberal.. It's all good, and I appreciate my friends for who they are more than who the vote for.
The reason why I display these shots in my gallery, is because I happen to find this newsworthy and believe others will too.
Although I don't know for certain if the Democrat activist fella tagged the sidewalk in front of the neighbor who I assume is a Republican, it sure looks that way to me considering how he choses to express himself. If that is the case, then I see no reason to publicly "out" your next-door neighbor by vandalizing their sidewalk, considering they make an effort to keep their property looking nice.
You can find these houses on Dunbar Ave. in the City of Waukesha. Type this into Google.com: 415, or 419 Dunbar Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186 and you can see the "Street View" feature.

***Update!! 8-13-08 Man Arrested!
I just got off the phone with the arresting officer, who asked not to be named.
He stated that a man named "Kyle Villarreal, Sr." Was arrested by City of Waukesha Police on 8-12-08 for a municipal criminal charge for damage to property.
The arresting officer stated that the man denied committing this crime at first, but after a voluntary search of the man's home, where the officer escorted him inside, found a can of spray paint that appeared to match the color of the spray paint used in the crime. At that time according to the police officer, Kyle admitted to having committing the crime, who allegedly "blamed Republicans for sending jobs over seas" as his motive.
This is all public record, but may not appear on the http://wcca.wicourts.gov/index.xsl website because the damage was done to city property, not his neighbor's property.

***Update 8-19-08
Last Sunday, I ran across several anti-war protesters in Cutler Park, which is about 3 blocks from my home. So I grabbed my camera, and walked over there to take pictures of them doing what they did. They carried signs, talked amongst themselves, waved to passers bye, handed out fliers for a group called "Infowars.com", DVDs of "Loose Change Final Cut", which blames Bush for 911 (they were kind enought to give me a copy of their propaganda materials), and smoked cigarettes.
I sure hope those who support "BIG Tobacco" by smoking their cigarettes, disposed of their smoking materials properly so that the our city park and sidewalk will continue to look nice. :-)
