To get the full effect, the Snow Globe needs to be shaken.
Mother Nature did that the next day with a magnitude 5.8 earthquake,quickly followed by a 6 and a 5.3. Just what the folks of Christchurch DID NOT need so close to Christmas.

yes today's tremors must have been alarming, and clearly caused some damage, the liquifying earth amongst the scariest results...this rich yet placid dome must be a re-assuring sight to any who wandered here after the quakes...wish you an enjoyable weekend John, and a bit of peace for the people of Christchurch...V...extraordinary image too, skillful and assured work here..
