The Golden Gate Highlands Park is situated in South Africa, on Lesotho's northern border, and encompasses a beautiful part of the Maluti mountains. The golden winter grasses and the yellow sandstone contributed to the park's name. Pao and I went there for a couple of days in August 2007 and hope to go back soon, perhaps in summer to see a different aspect of the park.
