I've seen this image before. It's an optical illusion. If you look at the girl's bum long enough, you can persuade yourself there's a post in the background.

I like Eldar's reference to the Museum of Human Civilization---it has such an authoritative ring to it. Well done, Eldar! Nevertheless, I still would rather be in the aforementioned stroller or in Parallel Universe #7, if you get my drift. By the way, John, your instructions to Eldar were flawless and your description of this image a masterpiece of expository art.

It would not surprise me to learn that the "artistically blurred pelican" is actually SW15 Mobile Webcam #2, deployed on this beach to test a new searching algorithm. Stealth takes many forms.

John, I tried my best and stressed all my mental and physical resources, but... Once I advance to the pole my vision gets blurred and eyes automatically jump back to these gorgeous buns. There is nothing I can do about it, as I suggested,- I certainly face some limitations in my physical ability to see invisible, unlike you guys do, ahahhaaaaaaaa. I totally understand the value of this image and would rather suggest that this is probably shot of the century which deserves to be in National Geographic, or, better yet, museum of human civilization. Please, ensure that when you post it elsewhere, general public does not get embarrassed, just like myself, with any mentioning of pelicans, ahahahaaaaaaa !

Eldar, try this optical experiment. Look at the lady in the photo, slowly move your point of vision above her head and to the left, you should see a black pole in the water. Without letting your eyes stray back to the lady, move the p.o.v. left again.
The large object that looks like a pelican flying, is actually a pelican flying.
The way it is portrayed (artistically blurred) and in the corner of the photo is a masterpiece of photographic art.
Bob has turned down a large sum of money for the copyright of this print.
One of his finest works.

You, guys, are too intelligible for me to condicut in-depth phylosophic discussions, as an artist I always see beauty first and may be nothing beyond it. So, my sight is very limited as compared to your, no doubts. Also I have no clue how Dave is going to behold this pelican ??? There should be some trick... Meanwhile I admit that you somewhat opened my eyes and I can see now some post beyound those buns, and hope that this non-existent bloody pelican will smack himself against it, ahahahhaaaaaaaa !!!

Eldar, look past the woman, go deep, expansion, not contraction.
John Cooper05-Jul-2006 21:28
Discussions in unintelligable terms. I like the sound of that Dave. That's the world I live in.
I also do a lot of beholding.
Dave Beedon05-Jul-2006 21:09
Eldar does not realize that sometimes the best way to honor something is to ignore it or discuss it in terms that are almost unintelligible. On the other hand, beauty is in the eye of the beholder; I would rather replace the kid in the stroller (pram?) than be here.
Eldar Kadymov05-Jul-2006 21:03
Again the same optical illusion... You, guys, are definitely possessed by aliens... I know very well how pelican looks, so where is it ? Camera focused on superbuns, so what's wrong with you ?!
John Cooper05-Jul-2006 19:50
They do not bite, they swallow whole living creatures.
Dave Beedon05-Jul-2006 19:47
Are pelican flies as large as horse flies? Do they bite?
