It was very nice to meet you on the river bank near to where you originally took these photos on Saturday 2nd May.
Thanks for sharing some of your knowledge with us and maybe one day I'll get the chance to explore these unusual structures and I can take my own pictures!

I've just read a book called london peculierarities( sorry about spelling!) that states that these are entrances to a foot tunnel under the thames. Do you know anything about these as I can't find any information about these. I have lived in this area for nearly forty years and have never heard of a tunnel.
