I also lived in Sinop in1973-74. Adil and Uksel Sirt were very good friends. I was in the army at the time and my wife and had many great times with them. Our stay in Turkey was one of the great adventures of our lives.
I've also wonder about them all these years.

I LIVED IN SINOP IN 1973. I HAVE MANY FOND MEMORIES OF SOME TURKISH FRIENDS, ADIL AND UKSEL SIRT. I HAVE OFTEN WONDERED WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THEM AND THEIR CHILDREN.

I was site manager for Mantech at Sinop. Had some wonderful friends and enjoyed the food and raki. I would have to research some to remember alot. I am 82 now and my memory isn't all it used to be.

Johan; thank you for your message in my Photo-spot. I know all the places and most of the people even the governor. I too was part of a project dealt with regional development. Up until two months ago I lived in Kastamonu which is about three hours of bus ride in the south-west of Sinop. In your photos, I felt that you made simplest things (for us that is) more beautiful than ever. You have a very keen eye for detail. Thank you for sharing your work with the world.
