Just after tower clear. On this mission, Barbara Morgan, the backup teacher to Christa McCauliffe, the original Teacher In Space, would, in theory, complete the mission started by Challenger on STS-51L (see the Teacher In Space torch on the mission patch). Over the years after the Challenger accident, the mission objectives would change. But it was good to see Barbara fly this mission.
