103.JPG

For the only time in Program history, the External Tank (ET) Intertank Access Door sported a logo. ET-122 was 'the Katrina tank'. This tank was damaged in 2005 by Hurricane Katrina while at the Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) in New Orleans. For a while, it was doubtful that this tank would ever fly. But the good people at Lockheed Martin fixed her up good as new. The logo highlights a Space Shuttle flying through a hurricane.
