This is it: my bread and butter. A picture of two sets of my hardware - the Thrust Vector Control (TVC) subsystem, which is located inside the Solid Rocket Booster (SRB) Aft Skirts. A hydrazine powered turbine turns a pump, which provides hydraulic power to the actuators to gimbal the solid rocket motor nozzles. There are two independent - redundant - systems here, Rock and Tilt, which are located +/- 45 degrees off the yaw plane. These systems were designed by the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) back in the 1970s and have never seen an in-flight anomaly during their thirty years of operation. Kudos to the Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM's)...Parker Abex (Hydraulic Pump), Hamilton Sundstrand (Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) and Gas Generator (GG), and Moog (Actuator and Fuel Isolation Valve (FIV)) - you provided some awesome hardware! Also kudos to the United Space Alliance (USA) for refurbishing the rest of the system after each flight.
