The Orbiter's Forward Reaction Control System (RCS). The Nozzles are covered with protective paper well before liftoff and tear off harmlessly during launch. The forwad RCS is 'plug-n-play' - the entire module can be removed and serviced at a separate hazardous facility.

i've always wondered what the RCS is covered with (looks liek tissue paper) and why does it always look like two pieces?
