Storm quickly blew in while working on Pad 39-B (preparing Endeavour to be moved to Pad 39-A for STS-127). Because we were underneath the 'cone of protection' provided by the Ares lightning towers, we were not required to evacuate the pad. Lightning was all around us - it never struck near us - and it was quite a thrill to be working on a large, metal structure during an intense thunderstorm - looking due south from the launch complex.
