The Gambia

The Gambia is located in West Africa and has about 1.5 million inhabitants.
This country borders only with Senegal and has the Gambia river which cuts the country in half as its main way of transportation. The Gambia stands for the smallest country in the African continent.
The Gambia got its independence from the UK in 1965 and still uses english as its official language along with others like Mandinka, Fula and Wolof. Mandinka and Fula are the biggest ethnic groups from many existing along this small country.
