Senegal

Senegal is another rich country in West Africa in terms of ethnic variety. The Wolof that is the majority group also give the name to the most spoken language. Other ethnic groups include the Fula, the Serer, the Jola and Mandinka. Islam, the dominant religion in Senegal, first arrived back in the 11th century. Independent from France since 1960.
Senegal borders with Mauritania, Mali, The Gambia, Guinea and Guinea-Bissau.
Between contrasts of the big Dakar and the small countryside villages, people in Senegal are still attached to ancient ways of living as the lack of first necessity goods makes life harsh for many as about 70% of its population lives in rural areas.
