Glow-in-the-dark fungus (Luminescent Panellus)

Luminescent Panellus that was growing on the in-laws' property.

This is a 92-sec long bulb-exposure. I then cropped it and enhanced the green in PS to bring out the fungus structure. It's a remarkable sight and they've had a batch here or there growing off of the driveway for the past two or three years. I'll try this again this year if there is another patch. I left it at a low ISO in the hopes of reducing the noise.

I didn't have a tripod so I used my jacket to hold the camera like a sandbag and used my Adidt remote to trigger the camera.

I'm surprised it has only garnered one comment, too! What an extraordinary image. Ghostly, velvety... really superb. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I thought so, I'm surprised this has only garnered one comment though. My wife and in-laws think this is one of the coolest pics...
