What a great subject. At least you can keep at it, Jack, until you get what you are looking for. Seems the color is slightly off for the beautiful complexion young ladies usually have. Love the light in her eyes. I think you can work a bit on this image and make it even better.

Very pretty! I like the light in her eyes. It bothers me it's a little soft on the one side of her face. One eye looks less focused than the other but might be able to be sharpened in photoshop. Very nice relaxed smile. I like it a lot!

You did pretty good here Jack, you have a great subject and that is half the battle, great smile. The light is a bit heavy and you have a shadow running down the right side of her face. This and the few stray hairs around the left ear and neck area distract a bit. The blurred background is nice but I think you could have stopped down to around 5.6 and moved her out a bit from the background. This way the subject would entirely be in focus and the background would be blurred. This helps the subject stand out in the frame, as it is now the back portions of her are starting to blur into the background and this reduces the separation of the two. still a very nice portrait.

She's so pretty any photo of her is great! But I think you're right, the flash is a bit harsh.

Nice shot, Jack. I agree that a little softer lighting would've been even nicer.

Jack I am not a protrait person, but it looks good tome except that I might take the highlight and move it to her left even a bit more... and only a tad bit to get the right cheek to have just a small glow. Just my opinion.
