I think ours have black heads. Couldn't get the wings pulled in.

We have just been teaching our kids in school about ladybirds and how they are on the decline. Some of the kids were so upset that they are trying to persuade parents to by bug boxes etc to help the ladybirds atleast find a haven in their gardens.
