Waterton Lakes National Park is located in southern Alberta Canada. Waterton Lakes borders Glacier National Park in Montana and the two parks form the the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park. Waterton Lakes motto is 'where the mountains meet the prairie' and it's appropriate. Here the Great Plains come right up and against the Rocky Mountains and create a diverse habitat for many different types of plants, birds, and animals. The wind often blows in Waterton Lakes, the wildlife is plentiful, and Waterton Lakes is one of my favorite places to photograph and spend time.
