Honeymoon Island State Park
Dunedin, Florida USA

Susan was ensuring the security of the Bald Eagle nest at the park and making
very diligent observation of it and the juveniles. There was only one adult eagle present
when I approached the area. Her husband, Ed, was on the water side of the nest watching
for the return of the other adult to the breeding area. Susan had told me of the Great Horned Owl
that was not observed in the area for some time, so I was especially keen to find it.
It was my great thrill to capture a few shots of it which document the sighting.
Seemingly missing from my visit to the park was its potential mate.
