G10 Powershot serious compact camera was replaced after micro4/3 cameras like the Lumix GF-1 arrived. G10 main disadvantages is the poor performace in high ISO (noisy after ISO200). The lens was not bright enough for indoor or low light. However it is a solid performaner when it is in outdoor and ISO is kept at 100.
The newer Canon S90 is a better compact camera with it's bright aperature f2.
The Leica D-Lux4 lens (24-60mm) with it's wide f2 aperture is good for low light shots.
