~~ Frozen Lake ~~

I wandered through the hills... and sat down by the lake
The sky was blue yet white... everything was frozen over
Sitting in the grass at the edge of the water-side
Everything was silent... I was alone in nature's womb
Looking all around... hills are all I see
A vast frozen lake... a lost girl staring at the scene
I remove my shoes and stand up... the ice cold beneath my feet
Moving very slowly... I glide across the lake
Cheeks are rosy red... lips are full and wet
Blonde hair cascades my face... as I let the wind kiss my face
Singing to myself... echo's fill the air
I stop just in the center and kneel down and hear a crack
A domino affect... as the lake begins to scream
This lost girl was searching for something...
But lost it when she took that chance...
