~~ Just a Match ~~

Does anyone know what is the name of the green-red reflection I got in this picture
above the lit match?, I took about 8 shots today and I got this reflection only in this one... :-s
Any ideas?

Excellent details.

Excellent exposure on this... I like the amount of negative space that you've included... gives a sense of isolation.

My guess would be lens flare. If you have any filter without high quality coating/glass, it could come from that.

Was your exposure different on this shot??? It’s possible the match was casting light on the wall or whatever the background is. If your exposure was longer in this shot it could have given time for that light in the back ground to be exposed. If the exposure was shorter in the other shots it may not have shown up since it’s such a dim light. Just what came to my mind when I saw the shot. Still…….very pretty

Fairly sure it is lens flare.... check the other images for the position of the flame... nice fall off between flame and match

Nice photo.
I think that it's better if the match is not in the center.
About ideas????Ok, maybe you can add a fill (effect) of smoke, what do you think?
Best regards

I always wanted to try this. What an arresting image. Almost like staring at a real flame.

it's probably a ghost! :) but i think it adds a little something.

It's a supernatural phenomenom, an ethereal spirit communicating with you through digital imaging and firelight.

Lens flair? Nice, simple, clean shot.

Lens Flare?

I have no idea about the cause, but it's quite pretty, whatever the reason.
